Actually, I thought the board will only close on Feb. 14th. But..... I don't know what to do in my free time. It's been a great pleasure to read great posts. Thank you everybody!!!
First I'd like to thank Notty for putting up with the crap that has been on the board for as long as he has. I am saddened by people who kick and scream rather than simply going to another board or making their own. We aren't forcing them to be here, why do they stay?
Anyway, I can say that this board has increased my knowledge about the game of basketball ten times beyond what it was since the first day I looked found it when I was trying to find out about who Matt Harpring was, and what he was like.
I will try the Scout board, and I hope to see many of the solid posters there. I fear that we may have shot ourselves in the foot by announcing almost the heir apparent of Jazzhoops, for many bad posters may go there too. I hope the rules are as well followed, I hope the honor and standards are as high.
And I hope the Emoticons are just as great!

Our standards are pretty high. We been in the message board business since 1999 and most people like the intelligent conversations that go on.
Well.. where do I start?. I know notty more then anybody (as the name says ) and it has been a helping hand for him, when others arent being jerks. ( sorry dad got to tell)this site is or was like therapy for him,along with his grandkids.those that really know him, know why.I'am sad to see jazzhoops leave us it has been a very fun and info place to get jazz updates etc....To those who have help with the site, I thank you. Notty, just wanted to thank you for bringing me this site. It has made the best possible fan I could have been considering the lack of info I have where I am from. I guess we only saw a fraction of the massive work you put to this webpage.
I will miss this home page tremendously.
I hope one day I will be able to travel to SLC to see a game. In that case I will contact you.

Gee, it's going to be weird without having this board to check every day or two. I probably visited this board for a year or two before I started posting. I haven't posted a whole lot, but just really enjoyed reading the back and forth banter and interesting, insightful comments about the team. I also liked the friendly atmosphere of respect for one another.
I'll miss this place. Don't know where I'll go for my Jazz fix now.
It's been a great run! Can't help but feel quite sad to see it end.
Haven't been able to post recently but I'll always have fond memories of this board.
Finding opinions well-thought out and crazy, or both. Fantasy trades hehe. Scoops. Just knowing there's a Jazz fan in every corner of the world. Wow, all those years. As an "international" Jazz fan from the Philippines, somewhere along the way, following the Jazz became closely tied with following Jazzhoops.
