Apparently he could be on the move. I would give up quite a bit to get him. In fact there are only three people i wouldn't give up for him. Anyway, once again i don't think it's a realistic option, but i would love to see it happen. The only thing that worries me, is apparently he's been benched due to byron scott thinking he's lacking effort. Which means he would be in sloan's doghouse too. He is crazy athletic though, and can just flat out fill it up on the offensive end.
you beat me to it... I love his potential, but do we wanna sit around and wait on this guy? I still think he's a few years away. I just want a consistent 18 to 20 point scorer at 2 guard.
Realistically, are the Jazz going to make a big move before the deadline?
This would be a pretty big move, but i was looking at salaries and in that respect it is a very small move. Smith makes nothing. I think in order for them to get equal value their going to have to take some picks back. The real problem is they don't have anybody with a bad contract. I think they're going to find it very hard to move him, if that's what they decide they want to do. The jazz should make a serious run for him though. I don't mind waiting for him, because he can already light it up on any given night, and he just needs to get more consistent.
Well i'll agree that his attitude is probably a little bad, but he is in no way deshawn part 2. Smith can flat out shoot when he gets on. Plus he can take it to the rack like deshawn can. I think smith is a better player now than deshawn is. The more i think about it though the less sure i am that i want him to come to utah. All the things he's criticized for are things sloan hates, ala lack of effort, shot chucker, etc.
